Construction:

Conductor — twisted copper pairs with cross-sections from 0.2 to 2.5 mm².

Insulation — fire-resistant silicone rubber.

Sheath — PVC compound with reduced fire hazard, low smoke and gas emission.

Shield — laminated aluminum foil with a drain wire made of tinned copper.

Color: orange.

Designation decoding:

KPS — fire alarm cable
ng — does not support combustion
(A) — category according to fire safety performance

E — shielded, provides protection against electromagnetic interference and false triggering.

S — additional fire-resistant barrier in the form of mica tape
FR — Fire Resistant — flame-retardant, does not propagate combustion (FE 180)

LS — Low Smoke — reduced smoke and gas emission

Application area

Used at technically complex facilities, sites with a large number of occupants, as well as high-risk facilities. Also applied in other critical life-support systems that must remain operational in fire conditions.
