CPSS cable
APPLICATION
The KPSS cable is primarily used in:
- fire protection systems, fire and security alarm systems;
- public address and evacuation systems;
- automatic fire extinguishing and smoke protection systems;
- anywhere it is important to maintain operability under extreme conditions and elevated temperatures;
- technically complex structures or constructions;
- high-rise buildings;
- premises with computer equipment;
- airports, tunnels, bridges, high-rise buildings, subways;
- places with large crowds, where it is important to keep life-support and protection systems operational;
- indoors and outdoors, provided protection from direct sunlight and atmospheric precipitation;
- nuclear power plants, in safety class 2–4 systems (outside the containment area).
FEATURES
The thermal barrier allows operation at facilities with increased requirements for insulation mechanical strength, including under direct flame exposure.
DESCRIPTION
KPSS cable is a fire protection system cable with solid copper conductors. The current-carrying cores are paired, with cross-sections of 0.2, 0.35, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, 2.5 sq. mm.
The cable may consist of one or several twisted pairs (from 1 to 20 pairs).
The cores are insulated with fire-resistant silicone rubber, which allows the cable not only to resist flame propagation even when laid in bundles, but also to maintain functionality and interaction of fire protection system components for a long time during a fire.
The cable sheath is made of low-flammability PVC with low smoke and gas emission.
An additional fire-resistant barrier in the form of mica tape.
Used for transmission and distribution of electrical energy in fixed installations at a rated AC voltage of up to 300 V.
Fire resistance — 180 minutes.
