KPS cable

KPS cable

PURPOSE

The KPS cable brand is primarily used:

  • in fire protection systems, fire alarm and security alarm systems;
  • for warning and evacuation management systems, as well as;
  • in automatic fire extinguishing and smoke protection systems;
  • wherever it is important to maintain operability under extreme conditions and elevated temperatures;
  • in technically complex facilities or structures;
  • in high-rise buildings;
  • in premises with computer equipment;
  • in airports, tunnels, bridges, high-rise buildings, and metro systems;
  • in places with large gatherings of people where it is important to keep life-support and safety systems operational;
  • indoors and outdoors provided protection from direct sunlight and atmospheric precipitation;
  • at nuclear power plants, in safety class 2–4 systems (outside the containment zone).

FEATURES

The thermal barrier allows operation at facilities with increased requirements for the mechanical strength of insulation, including conditions of direct flame exposure.

DESCRIPTION

KPS cable — a cable designed for fire protection systems, with single-wire copper conductors. The current-carrying conductors are paired with cross-sections of 0.2, 0.35, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.5 mm².

The cable may consist of one or several pair-twisted conductors (pairs) — from 1 to 20.

The conductors are insulated with fire-resistant silicone rubber, which allows the cable not only to resist flame propagation even when laid in bundles, but also to maintain functionality and interaction of fire protection system components for a long time under fire conditions.

The cable sheath is made of low-flammability PVC with low smoke and gas emission.

Used for the transmission and distribution of electrical power in stationary installations at a rated AC voltage of no more than 300 V.

Fire resistance — 180 minutes.
